Aims and Objectives

Career Development Center (CDC), University of Peshawar, established in May 2016 aims to provide contemporary career prospects and career counselling opportunities to the students of University of Peshawar. Our objective is to provide guidance to the University students for their future careers and to well equip them with the novel working environment and culture. CDC focuses on the mission of capacity building of the students in pursuing their respective careers and brighten the chances of success in their relevant fields.

The major objectives of Career Development Center (CDC) are as follows:

  • Develop and manage strong working relationships with University faculty/academic colleagues and embed career development activities within the curriculum where possible and appropriate.
  • Develop, deliver and evaluate programs on transition to graduate study and graduate employment, including, job-search strategies, effective use of social media in job search, and interview skills.
  • Guide final year students on CV making and preparation of covering letters, arrange mock interviews and sessions on effective communication skills, and initiate mentorship programs at Departmental-level in University.
  • Organize seminars, workshops, or sessions on presentation skills, personality grooming, workplace ethics, and awareness of rights and laws for final year students of the University in order to prepare them well for potential job market.
