Objectives of Workshop

The program will focus on emerging quantitative research techniques in context of management studies more specifically used in finance and economics. This workshop will enhance the quality of research of participants. The participants will learn about data collection, data processing, data management and data analysis methods. Data analysis techniques are essential skills for all researchers. Understanding such techniques can facilitate and improve the reliability and quality of research findings. The targeted participants are MS/MPhil and PhD students and faculty of higher educations of Pakistani Universities. Generally research students face difficulties in handling data and data analysis. Hence, in this context this workshop will prove useful and productive. The participants will be given the opportunity to practically handle these tasks during the workshop. The research students are lacking the quality education in this context, so this workshop will be useful activity as it included a practical involvement of participants by using statistical techniques.

  1. Dr. Attaullah Shah, PhD (Finance) is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar. He is a renowned researcher with specialization in the field of corporate finance and allied areas. He has produced number of research articles in the field of finance and has achieved worth mentioning repute in Pakistan in his juvenile, committed and focused teaching and research career.   2. Dr. Zahoor Khan is currently serving at Institute of Management Sciences as an assistant professor in Economics. Dr. Khan has completed his PhD from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2014. He has vast experience and has presented his scholarly work at different international forums of high reputation across eight countries. Dr. Khan has used Data Envelopment Analysis technique in his scholarly work.

Registration Fee

Before 25th May 2017 Rs 6000.

After 25th May 2017 Rs 7000.

The applicants are supposed to submit the application form (link given below) only not to submit fee yet. The application received before 25th May 2017 are supposed to deposit Rs. 6000/- and after 25th May 2017 Rs. 7000/-. Further the committee will finalize the list of applicants as per the defined criteria and the selected applicants will be informed via their email (Account detail will be shared later).

Number of Seats are limited.

Registration after the deadline is subject to availability of seats.

  • MS / PhD Scholars will be given priority in Registration

The Campus II of the University of Peshawar is located at Bara Gali, Abbottabad – Nathia Gali - Murree Road, at a distance of approximately 30 kilometers from Abbottabad, having an altitude of 7700 ft above the sea level, and spread over an area of 60 acres of land.

Bara Gali, one of the most beautiful valley resort with dense forests, tall mountains and very pleasant climate, is the Campus II of the University of Peshawar since 1965. It is the nucleus of our academic and research activities particularly during summer vacations, i.e. Mays to Septembers. Each summer around 20-25 International and National Seminars, Conferences, Symposia, Workshops, Training courses, etc. are held at this Campus, which are attended by more than a thousand national and international participants. Thousands of our students from various teaching departments/schools/colleges/Centre’s visit Bara Gali each year both in summers and winters, for various academic and research and recreation purposes.
