BA and BSc

Subject Combination for B.A (Private)

There are 4 subjects, two are compulsory and two are elective.

Compulsory Subjects: 

Part 1:

  1. English-A
  2. Islamyat

Part 2:

  1. English-B
  2. Pakistan Study

One out of the following languages

  1. English Elective
  2. Urdu
  3. Pashto
  4. Arabic
  5. Persian

One or Two out of the following subjects

  1. Archaeology
  2. Economics
  3. Education
  4. History
  5. International Relations
  6. Islamic Studies
  7. Law
  8. Philosophy
  9. Political Science
  10. Social Work
  11. Sociology
  12. Anthropology
  1. Math-A and Math-B subjects can be taken by those students who have studies Mathematics in F.Sc.

  2. Private students cannot opt those subjects which includes practical, including Journalism.

Note: 

  1. The Inter-Arts candidates (Humanities Group) may got the combination of Mathematics A, Statistics and Computer Science in B.Sc. Part-I, provided the candidates have passed the subject of Mathematics and Statistics at the Intermediate level.

  2. The candidates with the following combinations would be eligible for admission only to B.Sc. degree.

    1. Mathematics-A, Mathematic-B and English (Regular & Private candidates).

    2. Mathematics-A, Statistics and English (Regular candidates only). 

    3. Candidates who have offered at least two science subjects at Intermediate level, shall be eligible for admission in B.Sc. Part-I in the respective subjects.

    4. For admission to B.Sc. Physical Science Group, Computer Science and Electronics Group, a candidate must have passed Mathematics at the Intermediate level.

Required Documents for B.A/B.Sc

Please attach the following Attested document with the admission form

  1. DMCs(last examination)
  2. Passport size 2 Photographs(white or blue background)
  3. CNIC/ Father CNIC/ Domicile
  4. Migration Certificate(If Unregistered with UoP)
  5. Service Certificate(If Applicable)
  6. For admission in Part-2, DMCs of Part-1 and Part 2 Must be attached

Instructions to be followed

  1. Examination Admission Form & Fee should reach the University at the same time on or before the due date of admission failing which fee due on the date the form is received will be charged.
  2. Examination Admission Forms and fee for Part I and Part II must be submitted separately. No candidate will be allowed to appear in both parts on single Admission Form or single Roll Number.
  3. University Registration Number must be mentioned in the Admission Form otherwise Registration Fee will be charged.
  4. All candidates are required to attach two copies of recent white background photographs duly attested on backside and one copy of National Identity Card/Domicile Certificate duly attested by the Principal concerned. The attestation officer for private candidate shall invariably be the Headmaster/Principal of the school/college last attended. The attestation officer will be held accountable for wrong attestation. Moreover, the candidate affixed thumb impression in the presence of attesting authority.
  5. Private candidates shall attest their admission from and photographs from any Govt. Gazetted Officer.
  6. Examination Centres will be allotted to the candidates on their permanent viz at per NIC address only. “Care of” address is not acceptable even for mailing.
  7. Fee once deposited is neither refundable nor adjustable if the candidate is eligible.
  8. Current DMC’s  must be attached with the Admission Form.
  9. Candidate who passed their Intermediate/Diploma examination from any Board shall be required to pay  Registration Fee alongwith the examination admission fee. Such candidates will be required to attach Original Migration certificate as well.
  10. Federal/Provincial Service Personnel or their children who are not permanently residing in the jurisdiction of Peshawar University shall be required to attach service certificates of their own or their parents alongwith admission form. Service certificate of private service shall not be acceptable.
  11. All candidates of BA/BSc, MA/MSc will avail a maximum of five and four consecutive examinations for Part I and Part II respectively, including the initial one to clear all the papers, failing which he/she shall be required to appear in all subjects including practical examinations as a whole.
  12. Incomplete/unsigned Form shall not be entertained.
  13. Admission Fee by Money Order/Cheque shall not be accepted.
  14. Every candidate  must sign the Admission Form himself. In case of variation in signature from I.D. Card the candidate will face Impersonation charges.
  15. Two different examinations are not allowed in one session except examination for the improvement of division as permissible under the rules.

For Improvement

  1. For improvement of division, the candidates will be required to appear either in both parts simultaneously or in the final examination only. They have two such chances to appear in the syllabus in vogue of the relevant examination within two consecutive years.
  2. Aggregate failed candidates can improve their aggregate not in more than two subjects.
