Education at Nexus: Empowering Minds for an Inter- disciplinary Future

The Centre for Human Resource and Career Development (CHRCD), University of Peshawar, successfully organized the 2nd CHRCD International Conference on “Education at the Nexus: Empowering Minds for an Interdisciplinary Future” from 19–22 July 2026 at the University of Peshawar, Bara Gali Summer Campus.

The four-day international conference was held under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Naeem Butt, Director, CHRCD, and Chief Organizer of the Conference. The event brought together distinguished academicians, researchers, scholars, and professionals to exchange knowledge, present research findings, and promote interdisciplinary academic collaboration.

The conference was inaugurated by Meritorious Professor Dr. Johar Ali, Vice Chancellor, University of Peshawar, as the Guest of Honour. The keynote speakers included Prof. Dr. Nasir Jamal Khattak, Vice Chancellor, University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir; Dr. Naimat Ullah Khan, Cardiff School of Management, United Kingdom; Professor Dr. Muhammad Shafiq, Department of Econometrics, Tashkent State University, Uzbekistan; and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Irfan, President, World Psychiatric Culture Association. Their insightful presentations enriched the academic discussions and provided valuable perspectives on education, research, and interdisciplinary development.

Throughout the conference, research scholars presented their papers and participated in productive academic discussions. The programme also featured a session on sleep therapy and non-medicated physiotherapy technologies delivered by a representative of Alpha Evolution. Certificates were awarded to presenters and participants in recognition of their contributions.

In recognition of outstanding research, the Best Teacher Paper Award was presented to Ms. Qurat ul Ain, Lecturer, Department of Art and Design, University of Peshawar, while the Best Student Paper Award was presented to Mr. Asif Khan, PhD Scholar, SZABIST, Islamabad.

The closing ceremony featured Dr. Humaira Mumtaz, CEO of Empoweri, as the Guest of Honour. She delivered an inspiring address on inclusive leadership, innovation, and sustainable social development, followed by a panel discussion on women’s empowerment, gender equality, and women’s leadership. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between CHRCD and DOSTI to promote future academic collaboration and partnership.

The conference concluded successfully on 22 July 2026, marking an important milestone in promoting research excellence, academic networking, and interdisciplinary cooperation. The dedicated leadership of Dr. Muhammad Naeem Butt and the collaborative efforts of all organizers, speakers, and participants contributed significantly to the success of this international academic event.
