Applications, on prescribed Form, appended with the prospectus, obtainable on cash payment of Rs. 1000/- from UBL Counter at the Department of Geology, University of Peshawar (0ff Road # 2) from 06.10.2015 for admission to Postgraduate, Master (2-year), LLB (3-year) and M.Com (2 year) degree programmes are invited, for which essential details are as under:

Disaster Management

Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc with Botany, Commerce, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Economics, Forestry, Geography, Geology, Home Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Statistics and Zoology.

Note: Candidates qualifying any UAT Test Type are also eligible

Economics

Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Economics with Statistics or Maths-A.

2nd  priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Economics.

3.

Gender Studies

Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A in one of the following subjects: Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Urdu Advanced, English (Elective), International Relations.

4.

International Relations

Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of IR.

2nd priority: 2nd class BA with at least 45% marks in one of the following subjects, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Journalism, Sociology, Philosophy, Law, History & Geography.  

5.

Journalism & Mass Communication

Eligibility:  1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Journalism.

2nd  priority: At least 45% marks in BA

6.

Library Science

Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc or equivalent.

Note: Candidates qualifying any UAT Test Type are also eligible

7.

LLB

Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Law. However a candidate will not be entitled to any preference or benefits of the subject of Law if acquired as an “additional subject” after passing B.A.

2nd priority: At least 45% marks in BA.

Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Political Science.

Psychology

Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subjects of Psychology, Applied Psychology.

2nd priority: 2nd class BA with at least 45% marks in Philosophy, Social Work, Sociology, Home Economics, education, B.Sc with Zoology

UAT-PNS (Physical & Numerical Sciences)

Computer Science

Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.Sc with Computer Science + Maths A, however, 45% marks in subject of Computer Science is mandatory.

2.

Physics

Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.Sc with Maths A + Physics, however, 45% marks in the subject of Physics is mandatory.

3.

Mathematics

Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc with Maths A + maths B, however, 45% marks in the subject of Maths B is mandatory.

Electronics

Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.Sc with subjects of Electronics and any other two subjects from Numerical & Physical Sciences.

2nd priority: At least 45% marks in B.Sc with any combination of 3 subjects from Numerical & Physical Sciences.

Statistics

Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc with maths A + Statistics, however, 45% marks in the subject of Statistics is mandatory.   Note: Candidates qualifying any UAT Test Type are also eligible.

  • Photocopies of the following documents must be attached with the application form:
  •  Verified copies of B.A/B.Sc. DMC (Part-I & II) / Transcripts.
  • Domicile Certificate (attested copy).
  • CNIC (attested copy).
  • Two recent photographs.
  •  
  • Applicants applying against quota seats must attach relevant documents in support of his/her eligibility.
  • Graduates of the session 2014 and 2015 will be given 1st priority, while the others will be given 2nd priority in the merit list.
  • Applicants are advised to obtain Registration Form for Entry Test available at Facilitation Counter, in Department of Geology, University of Peshawar w.e.f. 06/10/2015 to 20/10/2015 on payment of Rs. 450/-.
  • Applicant must be careful in selecting the correct category of test prescribed for admission to the deptt/subject.
  • An applicant desirous of appearing in more than one Test must register separately.
  •  
  • Details regarding the Admission, Entry Test, Sample Test and instructions for candidates are made available on university website www.uop.edu.pk and NTS website www.nts.org.pk.

 

Important:

  • Passing marks in the Entry Test is 40%. Failed students shall not be eligible for admission.
  • University of Peshawar will not offer Evening Shift Programme in the following departments: English, International Relations, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, Environmental Sciences, Centre for Disaster Preparedness & Management, Chemical Sciences.
  • Form received by mail or after 20.10.2015 will not be entertained.
  • The University reserves the right to make changes in any programme when deemed necessary.
