Silk Road Education Cooporation Fair was held in North West University XI'AN on 4th June 2017. Vice Chacellors from many countries participated in the fair. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abid signed MOU with North West University. Under the MOU academic collaboration, joint research projects, faculty and student exchanges between the two universities will take place.

University of Peshawar was the only university from Pakistan which was invited to participate in the fair. North West University offered to establish Confucius Institute in University of Peshawar. Prof. Dr. Zahid Anwar, coordinator, China Study Cell also accompanied the Vice Chancellor.
