Positions Vacant: Research Fellows, Sort-terms Fellows and Short-term Scholarship, HEC Project No. 6(01) /ACAD/SS&H/HEC/2017/2017/77
Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals, who are not married to a foreign national, for the following positions on contract basis, under Higher Education Commission project No. 6(01) /ACAD/SS&H/HEC/2017/2017/77, with the following terms and conditions.
Project Duties:
Candidate having good knowledge working experience related to Pashto Language and Folklore, and strong report writing skills will be preferred. Duties and responsibilities include assisting P.I in project related work, conducting fieldwork in different regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan and Fata for data collection, transcription and translation of Pashto proverbs into English, and helping in preparation of project report.

The eligible candidates should have strong academic background with 1st class or CGPA 3.0 in Master/BS in sociology or related subject from any HEC recognized University. Candidates having higher qualification such as those enrolled in M.Phil/PhD, UOP will be given preference. |

Short-term Fellows (02) |
The eligible candidates should have strong academic background. Must be currently enrolled in M.Phil/PhD in university of Peshawar. Candidates having completed PhD degree in sociology will be highly preferred and are encouraged to apply. |

Short-term Scholarships to Students (05) @10,000 fixed per month |
The eligible candidate must be currently enrolled as students in sociology or Pashto/English literature. Preference will be given to those students who are working on folklore and related issues. |
Project information: The above positions are purely on temporary basis. The incumbent will be required to sign a bond for entire duration of the project.
Contract duration: The initial appointment will be for six months, which will be extended for further six months based on the satisfactory performance of the applicant and availability of the funds from donor Agency.
