Dear Friends and Colleagues

You will be pleased to know that we are going to bring out the next issue (i.e. Volume XXVIII, 2017) of Ancient Pakistan, the world-reputed research journal of the Department of Archaeology, University of Peshawar. The journal was introduced to the scholarly world by the founder editor/chairman the late Professor Ahmad Hasan Dani in 1964 and is published regularly since then containing quality research works of faculty members, research scholars and free-lancing researchers across the globe.

We would like to request you kindly to contribute to the upcoming volume of Ancient Pakistan (Volume XXVIII, 2017), which is planned to be published shortly. The manuscript may cover any aspect of art, architecture and iconography (Buddhist/Hindu/Jain), archaeology, cultural anthropology, Muslim art and architecture, ancient religious systems of South Asia, fine arts (art and design), cultural heritage management, cultural tourism and hospitality, conservation of cultural heritage, cultural history of ancient, mediaeval and late periods, numismatics, palaeography and epigraphy, Stone and Bronze Age archaeology, geomorphology, environmental archaeology, ancient and mediaeval literary sources (manuscripts, genealogies, eulogies), etc. The journal also considers reports on field investigations (explorations, excavations and documentation of a site or an area within Pakistan. In addition, the journal also accommodates articles on intangible heritage to save the fast vanishing cultural and ethnological traditions of the country.

Ancient Pakistan is an internationally refereed research journal and has earned wide recognition for its quality production world over. The journal provides an academic platform for keen researchers and faculty members across the world to publish and share their research achievements with scholars in different fields of studies to promoting knowledge and making their latest discoveries and ongoing research projects known widely.

You are requested to send your research paper(s) (both in word file and pdf) to the Editor or Co-editor by 30 November 2017. Your early response would help us start processing the submissions without delay.
