It's not the end of the world: Dr. Sarfraz Khan. Scholars' students and civil community showers praise on outgoing Director ASC


(Peshawar): University of Peshawar will remain my centre piece of the thought and action for my remaining life and it is the best place for the teaching community to earn living, respect and glory. These statements were made by retiring professor of Area Study Centre at the concluding day of his service at the University of Peshawar.

Dr. Sarfraz Khan a veteran professor who led the Area Study Centre since 2009 as a Director while initiating and developing research and dialogue on China, Russia and Central Asia region served his last day at the University.

The farewell event was widely attended by the Centre students, scholars and departmental heads notable among the attendees were Vice Chancellor Islamia College University Prof. Dr. Habib Ahmad, Former Vice chancellor,  Bacha Khan University Prof. Dr. Fazli Rahim Marwat , registrar University of Peshawar Dr. Zahid Gul  and Dean of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities Prof.Dr. Minhaj Ul Hassan.

The participants lauded the services of the outgoing Professor for his unrelenting services   to students, civil society and public through media  on regional issues .

Prof. Dr. Shabbir Ahmed has assumed charge as   Director Area Study Centre, University of Peshawar.
