University of Peshawar Contributions to Belt and Road Education Cooperation


The Silk Road Education Cooperation Fair was organized and hosted by Shaanxi Government China on 10th May 2018 in Golden Flower Hotel Xian in which a large number of Universities presidents, academicians and experts on China participated. Prof. Dr. Zahid Anwar, Director, China Study Centre, University of Peshawar was awarded the outstanding contributor to “Belt & Road” Education Cooperation. The establishment of Pakistan Study Centre (PSCNWU) in Northwest University was inaugurated by Prof Dr Fakhr-ul-Islam, Director Pakistan Study Centre. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan, Vice-Chancellor,  University of Peshawar has assigned this task to the two Directors and the joint efforts of the two Centres culminated in the establishment of PSCNWU which will facilitate comprehensive collaboration in the long term between the two Universities. Prof. Dr. Zahid Anwar delivered a presentation in a symposium organized by the Institute of Silk Road Studies, NWU on “Pakistan and China Relations in the Era of Belt and Road Initiative” and Prof. Fakhr-ul-Islam focused in his lecture on “A Bird Eye View of Pak-China Relations”.
