PUTF launches membership and Teachers Welfare Fund drive


Peshawar: Peshawar University Teachers Fund has granted to approve renewal of PUTF membership and establishment of Teachers Welfare Fund (TWF) for the benefits of university teachers. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nafees, Managing Director Peshawar University Teacher Foundation University of Peshawar said this in a statement issued from his office on Friday 19th October, 2018.

The committee of administration, chaired by honorable vice chancellor, UoP Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan has given this approval for establishing Teachers’ Welfare Fund (TWF) early this year. Fifty percent of the collected membership fee will go to Teachers’ welfare fund (TWF) and will be used to help the needy members. The fund shall be utilized for the benefit of all faculty members. Each member will give 250 rupees on a monthly basis at source.

The fund after renewal of membership and creation of Teachers’ Welfare Fund (TWF) will offer two types of financial support i.e. Non-Refundable Financial Support and Refundable Financial Support to its members. This program will be launched when 500 memberships is achieved.

The Financial support in terms of non-refundable funding in case of death and major illnesses will be extended to all members irrespective of the membership duration. Refundable loans (soft loan) will also be provided to the members for self-marriage and children’s marriage, House Repair, Emergency, Outdoor Medical Treatment and Research Advance.
