'UoP' signs MOU with UET and KP Urban policy and Planning Unit. Tripartite partnership with bolster URPS as dynamic development partner: VC UoP


Peshawar: University of Peshawar has entered in to a joint partnership to boost its urban and policy department to offer policy guidelines to partnering organizations and kept pace with changing market demands. In this connection, a MoU signing ceremony was held at committee room I involving provincial Planning & Developments’ urban policy & planning Unit and UETs National institute of Urban infrastructure planning.

Inayat Ullah Waseem, executive director from UPU, reaffirmed his commitment to keep helping  Urban and regional planning department with course designing , organizing seminars and  conferences and helping students to collaborate joint research projects. Rashid Rehan representing UET National institute of Urban infrastructure planning said that his university will corroborate  with UoP in academic designs and training modules for the students and stakeholders.

The Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar,  Prof.Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan welcomed the understanding reached and hoped that tripartite understanding will help three organizations to work closely, enhancing mutual trust and offer ready-made solutions needed for urban planning. He  pointed out that planning phase workout by the academic institutions will bring better urban planning results as west development paradigm suggests that better planning create better projects viability and success in the long run.
