Dr. Mehnaz Gul, is currently serving as Chairperson of Journalism & Mass Communication and Associate Professor of Communication and Management Sciences in University of Peshawar. She has more than twenty years of teaching and academic research experience, and has supervised PhD and MPhil researches. She has also worked as a qualitative research expert in the development sector projects. Dr. Gul serves as research expert in various research bodies of the university.
Her area of expertise is communication, business communication, management, negotiation, research methodology, organisation theory, media policy and women empowerment. She has published articles and book reviews in national and international journals of repute, and has presented her research work in many national and international conferences of communication and management.
She is having a doctorate in Communication from the School of Communication, Florida State University, United States of America. During her PhD, she served as a teaching assistant, teacher instructor and public speaking lab instructor in Florida state University, and has trained bachelor students for public speaking, communication skills, media techniques for five years.
She received prestigious NORAD scholarship for pursuing her MPhil in Administration and Organisation Theory from University of Bergen, Norway.
She has the experience of organising and conducting workshops, seminars and training sessions on communication, negotiation, management, work life synergy, stress management, and research methodology. She served as trainer at HEC & NAHE (Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar), FFC (Sadiq Abad, Mirpur Methelo), PAF (Badabair), PAF College of Education Peshawar, UNHCR schools teachers training, and USEFP Faculty development training programs conducted by Institute of Management Sciences.
