Presently working as Lecturer at Department of Sociology, University of Peshawar, Pakistan, I obtained My PhD degree in Sociology from University of Peshawar (Dissertation title: Impact of Culturally Induced Self-Aggrandized Identity on Development: A Case Study of Pakhtuns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan). I also hold Master’s degrees in Sociology (with distinction), Political Science and Mass Communication. I have been deeply interested in teaching and research therefore, after completion my master’s degrees in Sociology I started teaching at the Department of Sociology, University of Peshawar with the aim to gain as much theoretical knowledge and conduct as much research as possible. I am always enamored by the idea of pursuing knowledge and using that to improve the faculties of my fellow countrymen and women so that to develop the overall society. I am particularly interested in studying social institutions and social structures and their impact on overall functionality of the society as well as the resultant social changes in the form of liberal and democratic politics and economic development. My PhD thesis is also an attempt to discover the interrelationship between social, economic and political phenomena among the members of Pakhtun ethnic group.
