Muhammad Faheem hails from the FR Bannu region of the former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). He holds an MSc (2010) and an M.Phil (2013) in International Relations from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. Since 2012, he has been serving as a Lecturer at the University of Peshawar and is currently affiliated with the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies. In 2014, he participated in the Study of the United States Institute (SUSI) program on National Security Policymaking at the Institute of Training and Development, Amherst, Massachusetts. His academic and research interests include foreign policy, theories of International Relations, International Law, geopolitics, hydropolitics, human rights and human security. His M.Phil dissertation focused on "Water Security in South Asia: A Case Study of India and Pakistan."
