Director Pakistan Study Centre reads out paper at Hamdard Foundation Seminar


Director Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam read out paper at Hamdard Foundation Seminar held at Peshawar Club. The theme of his presentation was “Ideology of Pakistan and National Integration”. Hamdard Foundation chairperson and daughter of Hakeem Saeed, Miss Sadia Rashid presided over the seminar. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam gave a background of origin and evolution of Pakistan’s ideology. He said that Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had very rationally convinced the Indian Muslims that their emancipation lies in a separate homeland. He said that that Iqbal’s address of Allahabad and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s presidential address at the Lahore Resolution session 1940, explicitly explain ideology of Pakistan. Dr. Fakhr said that adherence to ideology of Pakistan enabled us to get a separate homeland, and it can guarantee the strengthening of Pakistan. He stressed the need for national integration which stems from tolerance and prejudice-free society.
