Dr. Fakhr chairs working session at International Conference on History


 

Prof Dir. Fakhr-ul-Islam Director Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar, presided over working session of International Conference on History. The theme of the working session was “Society and Culture in the Medieval India”.

In all, four papers were presented in the session. The paper presenters included Miss Atia Ibrar International Islamic University( Mughul Art and Politics), Miss Saima Sayed Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad(Binding Styles of Quranic Manuscripts in India), Mr. Nasrullah Kaboroo Sindh University Jamshoro ( Life and Works of Rahimdad Molai Shedayee) and Dr. Asma Gul(One Unit Scheme: An Authoritarian Move). The session was also attended by Dr. Sawetri Shreeta from Kahtmanu University Nepal. Besides, a sizable number of students, scholars and faculty members were also present on the occasion.

 

While concluding the session, Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam paid tributes to the presenters. He said that their presentations considerably enriched knowledge of the participants. He evaluated the papers and highlighted their strengths and weaknesses along with suggestions for improvement. He hoped that the organizers will definitely publish the proceedings through which the same knowledge will be disseminated to a wide range of scholars.
