Applications on prescribed form, available at the United Bank Limited (UBL), University Campus Branch on cash payment of Rs.1000/-, are invited for admission to MS/MPhil (Research and course work based) and PhD programme Session 2019-20 (Fall Semester) for the available vacant seats as per schedule below:

Important Note:

The candidates who have already applied in response to MS/MPhil & PhD Admissions published on 12, 13 & 14 September, 2019, but could not qualify the test are required to apply for test only (NTS GAT-General and GAT-Subject).

ELIGIBILITY FOR MS/ M.Phil:

  • Relevant Masters degree / 4-years education after intermediate (130 Credit hours), with a minimum CGPA 2.5 in Semester System or 2nd Division in Annual System.
  • Candidates must have passed GAT (General) conducted by NTS with at least 50% marks.

ELIGIBILITY FOR Ph.D:

  • Candidates having MS/MPhil 18 years education with a minimum CGPA 3.0 in Semester System or 1st Division in Annual System. 
  • Candidates must have passed GAT (Subject) Test conducted by NTS with at least 60% marks.

COPIES OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED WITH APPLICATION FORM:

  1. Degree and Transcript for Masters (MA/MSc) / BS 4-Years for admission to MS/MPhil programs.
  2. Degree and Transcript for MPhil / MS for admission to PhD programs.
  3. NTS GAT (General) Certificate (Result) for MPhil/MS.
  4. NTS GAT (Subject) Certificate (Result) for PhD
  5. Character Certificate issued by the institute last attended for MPhil/MS & PhD
  6. 2 recent passport size photographs
  7. CNIC and Domicile
  8. Original documents to be presented for scrutiny before the Admissions Committee of the respective departments/ institution/ centres at the time of interview.

Note: The candidates will be informed through SMS about Test Time and Venue. Candidates shall download Roll No. slips from NTS website, and carry the same to the Test Centre along with CNIC.

IMPORTANT:

A candidate having valid GAT-Subject or GAT-General Score Card is not required to appear in the said test to be conducted by NTS on 3rd November, 2019. He/she will have to submit the Valid Score Card with his/her PhD/MPhil/MS Admission Form.

  1. Only those candidates will be considered for admission whose results are duly declared/notified by the Controller of Examinations on or before 28.10.2019.
  2. Candidates employed in any Government or Semi-Government Department/Organization must submit No Objection Certificate from the concerned Department/Organization before Provisional Admission.
  3. Provision of hostel accommodation will be subject to availability of seat and shall not be claimed as a matter of right.
  4. If found ineligible in scrutiny, the candidate shall not be allowed to appear in the Interview even he/she has qualified the GAT (Subject)/GAT (General) Test. Further, if the candidate appeared in the interview and later found to be ineligible for any reason, his/her admission will be cancelled at any stage. 
  5. In case of ambiguity about eligibility, the opinion of the Graduate Studies Committee of the concerned department will be considered s final. 
  6. All the HEC/University of Peshawar rules / regulations shall be applicable on the admitted scholars.
  7. The University reserves the right to make changes in any programme / admission procedure/regulations when and where deemed necessary.
