GROWING TOGETHER Capacity Building Initiative for the Faculty of Business Schools of GB, AJK & KP


The project was designed to share the learning of the faculty who have been part of the US- Pakistan Universities partnership funded by the US Embassy and have been trained at the University of Kentucky in contemporary techniques in professional development along with those having exposure of the leading universities of the world. The idea was to disseminate the knowledge with that of the young faculty of Business schools of other universities of the country especially those that were not part of the partnership in the first place. There has been exponential growth of universities in the last decade and the faculty hired in those universities benefitted from the interaction with their experienced counterparts. This opportunity helps share the knowledge gained by our faculty of the partner universities gained from the highly experienced and qualified international faculty. The project provided a customized approach to the faculty tailormade according to their specific needs. The program was funded by the United States Government  under the U.S. - Pakistan University Partnerships Grants Program.It was administered by USEFP and Implemented by the University of Peshawar. The project was led by Dr. Zia Obaid and executed by the faculty members of Institute of Management Studies, University of Peshawar. 

The training was constituted of three modules:

Module-I: Professional Development

Module-II: Research Skills Development

Module-III: Grant Writing
