Economics

Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Economics with Statistics or Maths-A.

2nd priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Economics.

 

2.

Gender Studies

Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A in one of the following subjects: Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Urdu Advanced, English (Elective), International Relations.

3.

International Relations

Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of IR.

2nd priority: 2nd class BA with at least 45% marks in one of the following subjects, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Journalism, Sociology, Philosophy, Law, History, Geography.  

 

4.

Journalism & Mass Communication

Eligibility:  1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Journalism.

2nd  priority: At least 45% marks in BA

5.

Library Science

Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc or equivalent.

Eligibility: Minimum B.A 2nd Division with at least one subject of Social Sciences.

 Social Work

At least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc. Additional 20 marks will be given to subject of Social Work at B.A/B.Sc. level.

15.

History

Eligibility: 2nd Class B.A/B.Sc. However, candidates having studied the subject of History in B.A will be entitled to 20 additional marks.

16.

Philosophy

Eligibility: at least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc.

 

 

17.

LLB (3 Years)

Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Law. However a candidate will not be entitled to any preference or benefits of the subject of Law if acquired as an “additional subject” after passing B.A.

2nd priority: At least 45% marks in BA.

General: 

Attested photocopies of the following documents must be attached with the application form:

  1. B.A/B.Sc. 3rd Year & 4th Year DMC / Transcripts.
  2. Domicile Certificate.
  3. C.N.I.C.
  4. Four recent photographs.

Important:

  • Merit for all the programmes (except English & Applied Linguistics) will be determined on the basis of (60%) weightage of B.A/B.Sc Marks  + (40%) weightage of Test Marks. For English merit will be determined on the basis of (60%) weightage of English Elective Marks in B.A/B.Sc + (40%) weightage of Aptitude Test Marks.
  • Applicants applying against quota seats must attach relevant documents in support of his/her eligibility.
  • Applicants are advised to obtain Registration Form for Entry Test available at Facilitation Counter, near Admission Block adjacent to Central Library, University of Peshawar w.e.f. 08/10/2018 to 18/10/2018.
  • Applicant must be careful in selecting the correct category of test prescribed for admission to the deptt/subject.
  • The priority of admission in order of Merit will be, i)  Regular Morning,  ii) Self-Support Evening.
  • Candidates who have passed B.A / B.Sc exam in the current and preceding session i.e. 2018 & 2017 will be given 1st priority in admission, while the others will be given 2nd priority.
  • Candidates on waiting list must sign the attendance sheet in the concerned departments/centre/institute within the specified dates, otherwise admission will not be offered.
  • Disabled & Hafiz e Quran applicants must bring Admission Form Acknowledgement receipt at the time of appearing in respective test/interview on 23.10.2018.
  • Form received by mail or after 18.10.2018 will not be entertained.
  • The University reserves the right to withdraw any programme OR to modify the rules governing the programmes OR to make necessary amendments in the programmes OR courses of studies where deemed necessary.
