ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • ELIGIBILITY FOR MS /MPHIL
    1. Candidates having relevant BS/M.A/M.Sc degree or equivalent (minimum 16 years of education) with at least CGPA of 2.5 (out of 4 in Semester System) or 2nd Division (in Annual System) from a HEC recognized University, shall be eligible for admission.
    2. The candidates should have to pass (50%) HAT/NTS/ETC/ETS or University own test according to HEC guidelines/requirements (where applicable as eligibility requirements).
  • ELIGIBILITY FOR PhD 
  1. Candidates having relevant BS/M.A/M.Sc/MS/Mphil/LLM (minimum 16 years of education) degree with at least CGPA of 3.0 (out of 4 in Semester System) or 1st Division (in the Annual System) from HEC recognized University, shall be eligible for admission.  
  2. The candidates should have to pass (60%) HAT/NTS/ETC/ETS or University own test according to HEC guidelines/requirements (where applicable as eligibility requirements). The test shall be general or subject-based. 
  3. Submission of the Statement of Purpose by the scholar along with the application form.

COPIES OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED WITH APPLICATION FORM:

  1. Transcript of BS/M.A/M.Sc for admission to MS/Mphil programs duly notified by Controller of Examinations.
  2. Transcript of BS/M.A/M.Sc/MS/Mphil/LLM for admission to PhD programs duly notified by Controller of Examinations.
  3. Character Certificate issued by the institute last attended for Mphil/MS & PhD
  4. 2 recent passport size photographs, CNIC and Domicile
  5. Original documents to be presented for scrutiny before the Admissions Committee of the respective departments/ institution/ centres at the time of interview.
  6. Copy of Valid Score Card of HAT/NTS/ETC/ETS

MOST IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

  • A candidate having valid score card of HAT/NTS/ETC/ETS, is not required to appear in the said  test to be conducted by the concerned department/institute/centre/college for Fall 2022-23  admissions. He/she shall submit the Valid Score Card of HAT/NTS/ETC/ETS with his/her  PhD/MPhil/MS Admission Form.
  • The concerned department/institute/centre/college has to inform the eligible candidates for departmental test about test date and venue. 
  • Only those candidates will be considered for admission whose results are duly declared/notified by the Controller of Examinations on or before 22nd August, 2022.
  • Candidates employed in any Government or Semi-Government Department/Organization must  submit No Objection Certificate from the concerned Department/Organization before  Provisional Admission.
  • Provision of hostel accommodation will be subject to availability of seat and shall not be claimed as a matter of right.
  • If found ineligible in scrutiny, the candidate shall not be allowed to appear in the Interview even  he/she has qualified the HAT/NTS/ETC/ETS or Departmental Test. Further, if the candidate  appeared in the interview and later found to be ineligible for any reason, his/her admission will  be cancelled at any stage.
  • In case of ambiguity about eligibility, the opinion of the Graduate Studies Committee of the concerned department will be considered final. 
  • All the HEC/University of Peshawar rules / regulations shall be applicable on the admitted  scholars.
  • The University reserves the right to make changes in any programme / admission procedure/regulations when and where deemed necessary.
  • Incomplete admissions forms or documents received by post or after due date will not be entertained.
  • Admission Fee once deposited shall not be refunded.
